Axiom ("we", "our", "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Your name: Provided during onboarding for personalization purposes. Stored locally on your device and submitted to our backend (Supabase) along with onboarding data.
Profile photo: If you choose to add a profile photo, it is stored locally on your device only. It is not uploaded to any server.
Feedback: Messages you submit through the feedback form.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: How you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used, button taps). Collected via PostHog analytics.
Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings.
Purchase data: Managed by Apple through RevenueCat. We receive purchase status but not payment details.
Error reports: Crash logs and error data collected via Sentry for debugging purposes.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your email address (unless you contact us).
We do not collect your location data.
We do not collect contacts, calendar, or other personal data from your device.
We do not require account creation or passwords.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local data: Your game progress, puzzle history, streak, scores, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Onboarding data: Your name and onboarding responses are submitted to our backend (Supabase).
Profile photo: Stored locally on your device only.
Analytics: Usage data is hosted on PostHog's EU servers (Frankfurt, Germany) to comply with GDPR.
Error tracking: Crash data is hosted on Sentry's EU servers (Germany).

5. Data Retention

Game history: Stored locally on your device until you reset the app.
Analytics data: Retained for up to 12 months.
Feedback: Retained until the matter is resolved or for up to 24 months.
Onboarding data: Retained while you use the App.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

7. Children's Privacy

Axiom is a math puzzle game suitable for players of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) beyond what is described in this policy. We do not require account creation, and most data is stored locally on the device.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites for advertising purposes (ATT). You can change this permission at any time in your device Settings. If you decline, we will not track you for advertising attribution.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
